Its closed tines reduce the chance you'll snag your barrel in environments where there is dense vegetation or other items that might catch an open-tine flash hider. Neutrally ported to aid in recoil management it mimics that of a traditional birdcage flash hider while providing a rock-solid mounting option for SOCOM Series Fast-Attach® suppressors.
