FFL Transfers at Gallenson’s Guns
Bought a firearm online or from an out-of-state seller? Ship it to us. Gallenson’s Guns & Ammo has been Salt Lake City’s downtown gun shop since 1916, and we handle transfers every day.
Transfer Fees
- Firearms: $30 per serialized item
- NFA items (suppressors, SBRs, etc.): $125 per serialized item for NFA items coming from anywhere other than Silencer Shop
- Silencer Shop purchases: no transfer fee — Silencer Shop is the only online retailer we receive and process at no charge
Please note: for NFA items, the $125 transfer fee must be paid before we start any paperwork to process your Form 4.
How It Works
- Buy your firearm from any online retailer, auction site, or out-of-state seller.
- Have the seller send it to our FFL. If the sending dealer needs a copy of our FFL and/or SOT, have them email us at [email protected] and we will provide everything they need to ship. We only provide our FFL/SOT to other FFL holders — no exceptions.
- We will let you know when it’s ready. When your item is ready for pickup, we will text or email you using the contact info provided.
- Pick it up. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. You will fill out the ATF Form 4473 in store, we run the background check, and you are on your way.
Give Us 24 Hours
For standard (non-NFA) serialized items, please give us 24 hours from delivery before coming in for pickup. We are a busy shop working hard to keep up with our growth and online presence, and that day lets us receive, log, and verify your item properly. We will text or email you the moment it’s ready.
