Combat Application Technologies (C.A.T) is both serious and a marketing joke, all rolled into one. Our little motley crew of owners are all proud ex-military and special operations veterans, with bad attitudes and dark humor. We got tired of the industry branding – the irrelevant model names, useless product descriptions and decided we’d only treat the products with seriousness and the civilian marketing with a strong dose of ill intent. Since our inception, we’ve launched truly generational models, with a focus on building the best all-round suppressors in the world. A modern assault or precision suppressor must be focused on something real, to us it’s total form factor output. This means for its weight, volume and material selection, it must have the highest overall points in the categories that matter most – from signature reduction (sound and flash), toxic fume mitigation (consider it the byproduct of backpressure), blast propagation (that concussive force you experience when shooting unsuppressed) and durability. Anyone can build a one-off suppressor to top a category but to separate the men from the boys, it’s about doing it model after model. So, this brand isn’t for everyone. It’s for first adopters, fans of product innovation and those that can tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not.
